I was tasked today to canvas and procure a spare part that is very much needed by the warehouse department for I am the purchaser of the company I worked for the past twenty years. I did my home work and canvased three suppliers for the starter assembly of Komatsu forklift. Davao Joni Auto Supply quoted 8,500 pesos, Charles Kent Auto Supply gave me a price of 7,800 and Poly Auto Supply had no stocks in their warehouse. Since the quoted part given by the suppliers were of the same brand and kind as well as origin which is Japan, I was compelled to get it from the cheapest and that is from Charles Kent Auto Supply.
The starter assembly of the komatsu forklift arrived in the doorsteps of the motorpool department office. Each and every soul of the mechanic are on the move to install the newly purchased part and if you may, the scene was pretty much like in the operating room were doctors and nurses are scrambling to save a life of a person.
Minutes gone by and the starter assembly of komatsu forklift was properly installed, everyone was crossing their fingers which included the manager. The operator turned on the key in the ignition but nothing happened. Second attempt was just the same, third forth and fifth seems we have a flat liner in the making. Luckily, the sixth attempt we have revive the sixty ton mammoth and everyone watching was relieved from the notion of a dead sixty ton work machine.
Everything was back to normal and the forklift was doing what it does best and that is making it easy for human laborers to lift what is to be lifted, hoisted and loaded. Thanks to the new starter assembly of komatsu forklift.
