A new member of the family rocky thelabrador

My family is getting bigger not because a new baby is born but we have bought a black two month old labrador. We call him rocky. He is very playful and full of enthusiasm, an explorer by nature for he is very inquisitive not that he asks questions but  curious of the things around him.

Every morning my daughter takes him for a walk to let him flex his legs and muscles and go about his personal routines like taking a pee and depositing his wastes. He is very playful and as early as the day we acquired him, he's been taking obedient lessons and we notice changes in him as days pass, he recognizes commands like seat, fetch, and the fancy roll over and execute the commands the way it should be executed. One thing that is undesirable is his appetite, this two month old labrador is always hungry and a voracious eater, it seems that his belly does'nt have a brim. Thus, we consulted a city veterinarian to look into his eating habit if it's normal for a two month labrador to engage in an eating spree or something is wrong and have to curtail his dog food consumption and apply diet.

Results came in and after a thorough check up, the vet. Said "its normal for a growing labrador to indulge in an eating frenzy. We can not do away this phenomena, this is it's nature, but we have to take into consideration that we have to guard it's health to keep him healthy. We have to consider obesity. Obesity is not good and could shorten the life of rocky."

We follow the advice of the vet and have been giving rocky, the two month old labrador the specified dog diet. At first it was annoying for he is always barking and lambasting his food container when ever he is hungry and craves for food.

I know time comes that our two month old labrador will get over it and be accostumed to the controlled food intake. We are not depriving him into eating but this is the only way to keep him healthy, physically fit and enjoy his company longer.
