David Hasselhoff doesn't need to drunkenly eat a hamburger to get attention.
He doesn't even need to be real.
Cardboard cutouts of Hasselhoff promoting iced coffee at Cumberland Farms
stores in New England are being stolen as fast as Cumberland can replace them,
ABC 40 in Springfield, Mass., reported in a news segment (above).
“Although we are flattered our customers have become attached to our iced
coffee ads, we do not encourage theft," Cumberland Farms said in a statement to
WHDH-TV, according to CNN. "The Hoff is there for all to enjoy.”
Hasselhoff, who turned 60 on Tuesday, is riding a small wave of publicity
with talk of a "Baywatch" reboot for the big screen. He would likely play a
cameo. Justin Timberlake is said to be the potential star.
